FORM OVER FUNCTION IN THE BODY OF CHRIST

We have always been told that form FOLLOWS function. The form of something is the what of an object; the appearance of it. Function is the why; the practical purpose of the object. We cannot have one without the other. The form of an object should be primarily determined by it's intended use. This means technically that form does follow function; but we are part of the upside down Kingdom of God.

I heard the Father say that in the new, in order to be effective at bringing the Kingdom of God to earth we must learn to put form before function. The church have lived out of function first,for far too long; building in their own strength. If you build it, you will have to maintain it! We should be awaiting the building that is built and designed by God (Hebrews 11:9-10). God is building something new and He is forming us into the image of Christ to reflect Him in the building. We are the Body of Christ, we are the Temple of the Holy Spirit. He is not making a Kingdom of walls and beams any longer, He is building the Kingdom inside us. Romans 8:29 says whom He knew beforehand, He appointed ahead of time, because they have the SAME FORM of the likeness of His Son, for He was firstborn among many brothers. We are being TRANFORMED/CONFORMED, into His image to reflect Him. There is a forming of Christ in His Ekklesia in this day, so that the function will be to reflect Christ to the world. He will build it and He will form it within you, so that the builder internally and externally will be God.

Allow Him to form within you, and dispose of all things that are not Him - so that the Body can be built and His kingdom can come to earth.
